Mission

The mission of the Council is deeply rooted in three core concepts: Inheritance, Innovation, and Service to the World.

(1) Inheriting and Innovating Traditional Wellness Wisdom

Committed to preserving the traditional wellness wisdom of Chinese medicine, the Council combines artificial intelligence and other technologies with the academic strength of the international TCM community, systematically documents and protects overseas clinical experience and distinctive techniques, faithfully records the practice of overseas masters of Chinese medicine, and promotes the orderly inheritance and innovation of wellness systems such as Chinese medical theory, acupuncture, dietary therapy, and daoyin exercises in overseas communities.

About the International Center for TCM Artificial Intelligence Innovation

The Center is an institution directly under the CCCM--a specialized platform for the global TCM field that integrates AI technology innovation, international exchange and cooperation, and comprehensive industry services.

Today, a new generation of artificial-intelligence technologies, represented by large language models, is reshaping the development paradigm of the global medical and health industry, opening new technical pathways for medical knowledge management, assisted diagnosis and treatment, research analysis, professional training, whole-cycle health management, and pharmaceutical innovation. Yet worldwide there is a shortage of comprehensive international platforms where Chinese medicine and AI can be deeply integrated--and a shortage of professional vehicles able to coordinate international cooperation, technological breakthroughs, industry services, and project implementation.

General-purpose large models, however capable in general knowledge, fit poorly with the specialized theory of Chinese medicine, the industry's business processes, and enterprises' real-world scenarios. Many TCM enterprises face digital-transformation difficulties and lack practical pathways for building AI platforms, organizing professional knowledge bases, developing intelligent agents, or deploying private AI. At the same time, TCM institutions and enterprises harbor multiple practical concerns: business secrets, research data, patient health information, and core intellectual property all demand strict protection, and they are unwilling to upload internal core resources to public general-purpose AI platforms. A pronounced tension thus exists between the industry's real needs and data-security risks.

Addressing these pain points, the Center focuses on three core products and services: enterprise-dedicated AI platforms, private knowledge bases, and customized enterprise intelligent assistants. Its functions encompass TCM artificial-intelligence research, the implementation of AI applications, the digitalization of Chinese medicine, the execution of transnational cooperation projects, industry policy research, and the commercialization of innovative achievements. Rooted in the distinctive nature of Chinese medicine while balancing technological innovation and data-security protection, the Center connects technology R&D, scenario implementation, intellectual-property protection, and international coordination, empowering the digital and intelligent high-quality development of the global TCM industry.

(2) Building Bridges of Sino-Foreign Academic Dialogue

The Council builds bridges of academic dialogue in Chinese medicine between China and the wider world, precisely matching TCM universities and associations in China with locally registered practitioner associations across Europe and North America, promoting mutual learning between Chinese and Western medicine, and actively exploring feasible pathways for integrating traditional medicine into the public-health systems of Western countries.

(3) Providing Public Health Services

The Council provides inclusive health services to the public across Europe and North America, breaking down barriers to the understanding of Chinese medicine in Western society and comprehensively raising the scientific literacy of overseas Chinese and Western publics regarding Chinese wellness culture.

(4) Promoting International Cooperation in the Health-and-Wellness Industry

The Council vigorously advances international cooperation in international TCM AI innovation practice and the health-and-wellness industry, facilitates the compliant overseas entry of TCM techniques and wellness products, and explores industry development models suited to Europe and North America.

(5) Uniting Overseas Chinese Medicine Practitioners Worldwide

The Council unites overseas TCM practitioners around the world, consolidates the strength of the profession, firmly safeguards the lawful practice rights of overseas TCM practitioners, and helps Chinese medicine gain legislative recognition and social respect in more countries and regions.

The Council always upholds scholarship as its foundation and public welfare as its priority, advocates the coordinated development of Chinese and Western medicine, serves the health needs of all humanity with traditional wellness concepts, and helps Chinese medical culture--an outstanding representative of Chinese civilization--participate deeply in mutual learning among civilizations.
